Settling into a season of change and leaning into the last bit of summertime.
Sep 13, 2024 — Musings
We’re counting down the days until fall but not quite ready to wish away the last summer sunset of the year. For us, this month is all about slow transitions just as the leaves do in this season. Maybe because it’s our birthday month – it’s a time to look back but also forward on all the dreams we want to live outside of our heads. It’s putting the pen to paper and sitting with our thoughts to slowly ease into change. Similarly these September musings are letting us live in the summer time wind down mindset a bit longer.
Summer has always been a slower season in work where fall has always seemed to be a popular time for fresh looks. This summer we’ve really taken the time to hone in on the style that makes our hearts skip a beat. So cue the transitions because we can’t wait to be diving into new projects filled with rich, organic tones and dare we even say a little touch of moody.
Resisting the urge to buy every chocolate brown sweater for now, our minds are set to summertime. For these September musings, we’re loving dainty yet fun patterns and dusty blues.
If only watermelon tasted this sweet throughout the year, it would turn into a yearly recipe instead of a seasonal one. Slicing citrus, sprinkling the feta and picking mint from the garden – this quick recipe has been made equally as much as our browser history has “how to pick the best watermelon” nestled within it. Tip- a large yellow patch and two finger width striping.
